What is “The East”? Invited creators attempt a multilayered interpretation of this concept – from its literal, geopolitical meaning to a deep symbolic and identity dimension. Through the diverse sensibilities of prominent documentarians and visual artists, the exhibition becomes a space to reflect on eastern, borderland, and transitional.
